Group Training

Benefits of Outdoor Exercise

We all know that exercise is good for us and it’s what our bodies are designed to do, but in addition to that;

Studies have shown that regular physical activity outdoors lowers a person’s blood pressure and heart rate. As a result, exercise outdoors feels less strenuous than similar exercise indoors, which, in turn, pushes you closer to your maximum performance.

Furthermore studies into exercise found that working-out in a group lowers reported stress by 26% and significantly improves quality of life, while those who exercise individually put in more effort but report no significant changes in their stress level and a limited improvement to quality of life.

Our group training utilises these benefits whilst creating a specific programme for each group member that will push them to their maximum potential and minimise risk of injury.

As an introduction to Burst Training.co.uk you will be asked to complete a detailed health and lifestyle questionnaire. You will then receive a zoom consultation from one of our physiotherapists who will discuss your health background, exercise goals and aspects of nutrition. Together we will decide how our Burst Training programme can benefit you and which level of membership is best fit.

After signing up to the programme a one-to-one training session will be scheduled with one of our personal trainers. In this session you will be introduced to the programme, taught how to measure your heart rate accurately and given your individual exercise programme.

You then will be ready to join the group training programme!

Each group session will consist of;

  • group warm up, based on running drills,
  • burst training section based on high intensity sprints,
  • individual running form assessment,
  • group cool down section.
There are opportunities to post your results, chat about improvements, or problems with other members, health professionals and coaches, via our social media links.
